Finish Options
The right finish does more than add color to your fixtures. It helps set the tone for your space, supports your brand, complements your architecture, and shapes the experience you want your customers to have. A finish can make a space feel warm and familiar, clean and modern, bold and dramatic, or quiet and refined.
At Franklin Fixtures, we offer several finish options, beginning with our standard TFL colors. These economical, high-quality finishes are used throughout most of the bookstores, libraries, and specialty retail spaces we build because they offer a polished look, dependable performance, and the most efficient production timeline. From there, projects may also include HPL, wood veneer with a clear topcoat, paint, or custom stain, depending on the design direction, performance needs, budget, and schedule.
As you review options, we encourage you to think through your finish selections with your project manager. Our team is here to help you balance beauty, timeline, and cost so your fixtures support the vision you have for your space and help bring your ideas to life.
Standard TFL Colors
Our standard TFL colors are the best place to start for most projects. These finishes are durable, attractive, and used throughout many of the bookstores, libraries, and specialty retail spaces we build every year. Because they are part of our standard offering, they typically allow for the most efficient production timeline while still giving your space a polished, professional look.
Each color has its own personality. Whether you want something warm and classic, clean and modern, or bold and grounding, our standard TFL palette offers flexible options that work beautifully in real spaces.

~ Mix It Up! ~
Mixing two standard TFL colors is a simple way to create a more custom look without the custom price tag or extended lead time.
A warm wood tone paired with a solid neutral, or a darker accent used in select areas, can add contrast, depth, and personality while keeping your fixture package efficient and cohesive. Three-color combinations are possible, but a well-planned two-color palette is usually the strongest and most timeless choice.
For added interest, you may also consider details like an HPL countertop or contrasting trim. These thoughtful accents can help personalize your fixtures while still keeping the overall package practical, durable, and well-coordinated.

HPL Options
For projects that need additional color or surface performance, HPL (high-pressure laminate) offers additional options. We stock the following HPL colors to help keep projects moving efficiently while giving your fixtures a more tailored look.
HPL can be a great choice for counters, high-touch areas, or spaces where a specific design direction calls for something beyond our standard TFL palette. Our team can help you determine where HPL makes the most sense in your fixture package and how it can coordinate with your selected TFL colors.

Natural Wood Veneers
For a natural wood look, wood veneer offers warmth, depth, and character. Each veneer has its own variation in grain and tone, giving fixtures a richer, more organic appearance than a solid color finish.
Our Natural Wood Veneers are finished with a protective clear topcoat that allows the beauty of the wood to show through while helping protect the surface for everyday use. Veneer is a good fit for projects where the natural variation and richness of wood are an important part of the overall design.

Custom Paint & Custom Stain
Painted finishes and custom stains are also available for projects that require a specific color match or design detail. Because these finishes are hand-applied, they require additional time in our production schedule. Painted and custom-stained fixtures typically have an extended lead time, which may be several months depending on the project scope and current production demand.
When a custom color match is needed, we can review your sample, coordinate with our finish supplier, and provide a sample for approval before production.
