Maintenance Technician

At Franklin Fixtures, we produce shelving, display, counter systems, tables and specialty wood fixtures. Franklin Fixtures are known nationally as the highest available quality — serving bookstores, libraries and specialty retailers for 50 years. 

 

As a maintenance technician, we are looking for someone to take on the project of periodical and preventive maintenance, equipment calibration & repairs, installation of new equipment and installation of (replacement) instruments & parts. Shop equipment maintenance includes industrial CNC routers, CNC panel saw and edge bander as well as table & miter saws and hand tools.

 

The position will occasionally involve working in elevated places and in lifts.

Please help us understand your education -- when you apply, list any certificates, technical training or degrees that you have along with practical experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

 

• We need someone willing to stand in the gap as needed --- who understands that the machines are the heartbeat and is willing to work overtime as needed for the good of all.

• Being able to work with a team as well as alone is important

• Can you use computers?  A working knowledge of software such as MS Excel and Word is needed

• This job needs the ability to analyze, investigate and help solve technical issues involving the equipment

• Attention to safety for yourself and others is important

• We’re looking for a candidate with good planning and organizing skills, able to set priorities
