Shelf Types
Shelf Types 2026_edited.png
Shelf Types

T Shelf – The shelf back sits 1" away from the case back, allowing clearance when the shelf is tipped by setting the front pins 1–2 holes higher. Recommended for most book shelving because the shelf back helps keep book corners from touching the case back. In flared cases, T shelves are used in the upper section. This is our most common shelf type.

L Shelf – Functions as a flat shelf but includes added support from the shelf back. The shelf back sits flat, or perpendicular, to the case back. In flared cases, L shelves are used in the lower section.

Default shelf sizes:

  • L Shelves - 6 1/2" usable shelf depth w/ 3"H shelf back.

  • T Shelves - 8 1/2" usable shelf depth w/ 5"H shelf back

Feature Faceout Shelf – Designed for single-copy display, bringing one book forward to the edge of the shelf for added visibility and emphasis on the cover. 2" depth.

AFT Shelf (Adjustable Flat T Shelf) – A fixed shelf that is set and locked in place using a Rafix connector. The connector is locked and unlocked with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Recommended for 48" wide cases.

AFL Shelf (Adjustable Flat L Shelf) – Same function as the AFT shelf, but with an L shelf profile.

Flat Shelf – Best when maximum shelf depth is needed for lighter items. Not recommended for heavier products like books. An optional wire notch or grommet hole can be added.
